Dr. Frances Liu, DO, FAAP
Medical Director
Dr. Frances Liu is a board-certified pediatrician with a specialized focus on pediatric mental health medication management. With over 4 years of experience in general pediatrics and 7 years in mental health medication management, Dr. Liu has dedicated her career to improving the mental well-being of children and adolescents through expert medication management and compassionate care.
Dr. Liu completed her medical degree at Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa and went on to complete a residency in Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Her passion for pediatric mental health led them to further training and specialization in managing psychiatric medications for young patients, ensuring that each child receives personalized and effective treatment.
In her practice, Dr. Liu is known for working closely with families to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address both the medical and emotional aspects of mental health. She personalizes individual treatment with evidence-based
pharmacological treatment along with using pharmacogenetic testing and assists in seeking every patient effective therapy treatment in the community.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Liu is the medical director of Summit Counseling Solutions and collaborates with their clinical team for deeper understanding of individual client’s unique needs and family dynamic for a broader perspective that connects therapy and medication treatment with the most effective result.
In her personal time, Dr. Liu enjoys cooking for friends and family, traveling and playing pickleball with her husband, which she believes foster a well-rounded approach to her professional responsibilities.
